Peyton Manning has high praise for Caldwell
Suggs, who missed last week’s game at the Washington Redskins with a torn biceps, said after a week of rest that he feels better but he feared he couldn’t help his team. He missed his first game since returning in Week 7 from an Achilles tear ahead of schedule.
"I was really unsure, and that was pretty much the deciding factor," Suggs said about not playing against elusive Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. "It was wet, (we were facing an) option quarterback. It was a must-win game. There was just too much on the line to chance it. … I thought it would hinder the team playing last week."
The Ravens (9-4) are trying to end a two-game losing streak, their first consecutive losses since the 2009 season, but they’re still in control of the AFC North. A victory clinches the division and a playoff berth.
But they'll have to do it against Peyton Manning, who has thrown for 30 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions for a 10-3 team.
"If it was a Vegas game and 50/50 odds, you would have the best odds in Vegas," Suggs said. "But anything else, I wouldn't know. So we'll just have to wait and see Sunday."
