Who's where on Steelers' offensive line?

Quarterback isn’t the only spot where the Steelers are scrambling.

They might be shifting Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey to left guard, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported, taking the spot of injured Willie Colon.

"Whatever's best for the team," Pouncey said. "That's a coach's decision. He asked me to move over to play left guard for this game, and I said yes. If Willie's not playing, I'll play guard."

Pouncey, in his third pro season, has played center since his sophomore year at Florida. Should he move, Pouncey would be replaced in the middle with Doug Legursky.

There could be even more offensive line changes for Pittsburgh for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Rookie guard David DeCastro, projected as a starter at guard before landing on injured reserve, has been activated. If his knee is up to it and he looks the part, DeCastro might start at right guard. That would put Ramon Foster at right tackle.

What’s the upshot? It’s possible that only left tackle, manned by Max Starks, won’t have a new starter on Sunday.

That sounds like a situation ripe for the Ravens defense to take advantage of, particularly by switching up their pass rush and forcing a revamped line, not accustomed to playing together in new roles, to make adjustments on the fly.
