As Maryland’s spring practices get underway, Comcast SportsNet takes a position-by-position look at the depth chart to get you ready. Check out the latest installment below.

Wide receiver

- Levern Jacobs

- DeAndre Lane (limited)

- Dustin Dailey

- Stefon Diggs (injured)

- Amba Etta-Tawo

- Daniel Adams

or Marcus Leak

- Deon Long (injured)

- Nigel King

- Malcolm Culmer

or Taivon Jacobs

The wide receiving corps that takes the field for Maryland for training camp in August will look much different from the one that is getting reps in during the spring. Stars Stefon Diggs and Deon Long are still recovering from surgery, while four-star wide receiver signee Juwann Winfree won’t come to College Park until the summer.

Once this unit is back to being fully healthy, it’s not out of the question to think it could be one of the best in the Big Ten.

How could it be one of the best in the conference? The injuries to Diggs and Long actually gave Maryland’s backups, including Levern Jacobs, Nigel King, and Amba Etta-Tawo valuable time in the spotlight down the stretch of the season.

Jacobs proved to be the most capable of the bunch. Not to mention, Maryland brings Marcus Leak back into the fold after he was absent from the program in 2013. In addition, both players and coaches have been complimentary of Taivon Jacobs so far this spring.
