Ali had originally committed to the Terrapins in June, becoming the first four-star from the class of 2015 for head coach Randy Edsall. He was part of a flurry of spring pledges for Maryland.
The Terrapins are now left with 15 commits from the class, headed by four-star wide receiver D.J. Moore of Pennsylvania.
