Following Maryland's 75-69 win over No. 5 Virginia on Sunday and an NC State win over Boston College, the Terrapins are now locked into an ACC tournament seed.
Head coach Mark Turgeon's team will enter as the ACC's No. 8 seed, set to face No. 9 Florida State on Thursday at noon in Greensboro, N.C.
The way the bracket is set, Maryland would face No. 1-seeded Virginia on Friday in the conference quarterfinals if it is able to beat the Seminoles on Thursday.
Maryland has played Florida State twice this season. The first matchup on Jan. 12 was an 85-61 blowout loss to the Seminoles in Tallahassee. In that game, coach Leonard Hamilton's team shot a blistering 16-of-24 from three-point range.
In the second meeting between the two teams, Maryland avenged its loss with an 83-71 win at Comcast Center on Feb. 8.
