Terps drop Military Bowl, still finish winning season
On a day full of coaching news in the capital region, Maryland announced it would not renew the contract of offensive line coach Tom Brattan, a program spokesperson told Comcast SportsNet on Monday afternoon.
Brattan, who has been with the program since 2001, has also served as an offensive line coach at Stanford and Northwestern before coming to College Park.
"We would like to thank Tom for all of his hard work and commitment to the University of Maryland football program," head coach Randy Edsall said in a statement released Monday. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors."
The Maryland offensive line struggled at times throughout the season and ranked 75th in the nation by allowing 2.2 quarterback sacks per game.
