Freshman Perry Hills has been named the starting quarterback for Maryland's season opener against William & Mary, coach Randy Edsall announced on Tuesday.Edsall also stated his overall pecking order at the position with freshman Caleb Rowe and Devin Burns backing up Hills.

Brown, the only eligible college experienced quarterback on the roster.Hills, a6-foot-3, 205-pounder from Pittsburgh, ranked No.30 among 2012 recruits inthe always football-rich state of Pennsylvania according to Rivals.com.
