Terps excited about Military Bowl bid

You know those custom Under Armour "Maryland Pride" uniforms that the team wore this season against West Virginia and Clemson? They were auctioned off after the second time the team wore them and guess who got one: Former Terrapins tight end and current San Francisco 49er Vernon Davis.

Davis showed it off on his Instagram account late Wednesday night:

The helmets were each hand-painted and reportedly ran at auction for $500. Those that were auctioned off were individually numbered and benefitted Maryland Athletics.

Though the upcoming Military Bowl will be held in Annapolis, there will be no "Maryland Pride" uniforms on Friday. Instead, the Terrapins will be sporting their well-liked "White Ops" getups.
