Vasquez averaged 9.6 points and 4.1 assists per game last season for Sacramento and Toronto. He came to the Raptors from the Kings in a deal that sent Baltimore native Rudy Gay to the West Coast in December.
A native of Venezuela, Vasquez attended Montrose Christian (Md.) before coming to Maryland. There, he played with NBA MVP Kevin Durant. Coincidentally, Vasquez's new contract and that of Durant's are both set to expire in 2016. Durant is expected to be the most coveted free agent on the market come that summer.
