The ACC baseball tournament ought to be about, well, baseball, but sometimes there's a mustache that's just too impressive to let pass without special recognition.

Friday that follicular arrangement of the face belonged to Maryland relief pitcher Bobby Ruse, who likely falls somewhere on the continuum between Nintendo's famed Mario character and former Oakland A's pitcher Rollie Fingers.

Another angle:

See that flair on the tips? Classic Fingers. Need a more contemporary comparison? How about Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers? Spot on.

On the day Ruse didn't pitch all too well, though. He came in in the 8th inning and surrendered two runs without recording an out. He was yanked and replaced while Maryland held a 5-2 lead.

But the Terrapins would surrender only one more run on the day and grab the win, 5-3. They are now 2-0 in the 2014 ACC tournament.
