Maryland signees Romelo Trimble and Dion Wiley have both been selected to compete in the 2014 Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic, set to be held on April 18 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky.
The sharpshooting duo is part of Maryland's highly touted 2014 recruiting class, which also includes center Trayvon Reed and wing Jared Nickens.
The accolade is part of a busy month for Trimble, who will also be taking part in the McDonald's All-American Game in Chicago, Ill., on April 2.
Two other high-profile local players will be taking part in the Derby Festival Classic, both of whom were at one time Maryland targets. Baltimore native Dwayne Morgan, who is headed to UNLV, and center Chinanu Onuaku have both been selected to compete.
