McDonogh School offensive lineman Jared Cohen reopened his recruitment in late December after previously committing to Maryland. Now a report from Mike Farrell of Rivals.com says he has trimmed his final list and will most likely choose from either Maryland or North Carolina.
The 6-4, 290-pound four-star prospect explained why he decommitted from Maryland in the wake of his announcement, saying that he was barred from visit Penn State unless he officially decommitted.
He did, and now appears to have trimmed the Nittany Lions from his list, save a late push by new head coach James Franklin.
Maryland is enduring some change on its coaching staff--after thinking it had found stability--after offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo announced that he would be leaving College Park one week after being hired to take the same position with the NFL's New England Patriots.
