Perhaps the greatest women's basketball player in the history of the Maryland program, Alyssa Thomas, is now a professional.
The native of Harrisburg, Pa., was selected No. 4 overall by the New York Liberty in Monday's WNBA Draft, then was promptly traded to the Connecticut Sun in a deal involving 2012 league MVP Tina Charles.
Thomas was a three-time ACC Player of the Year while at Maryland and became the program's all-time leading scorer during her senior season.
