Maryland forward Charles Mitchell left Thursday’s game against Florida State with just over 10 minutes to play in the second half after suffering an apparent hand injury.

With 10:39 to play, he blocked the shot of Florida State’s Okaro White. While going for the ensuing loose ball, he appeared to jam a finger on his left hand. He was in immediate pain and visibly upset by the injury.

Maryland guard Dez Wells cringed when he looked at the injury.

The program had an update on the injury shortly after:

He returned to the bench and was seen with tape on the fingers.

Mitchell returned to the game with under four minutes to play.
