After finishing the season with a 7-6 record and losing to Marshall in the Military Bowl, six Maryland players have been earned All-ACC Academic honors, head coach Randy Edsall announced on Monday.

Cornerback Dexter McDougle, linebacker Cole Farrand, offensive lineman Sal Conaboy, kicker Brad Craddock, cornerback Will Likely, and punter Nate Renfro all received the honor.

McDougle, who only played two full games for the Terrapins in 2013 due to injury, intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown in Week 3 against Connecticut. It was in that game that he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.

Since the conclusion of the season, he has been invited to the 2014 NFL Draft Combine.

Because of the injury to McDougle, Likely was thrown into the fire during his freshman season in the secondary and he responded. He tallied 70 tackles and one interception.
