Maryland offensive line commit Jared Cohen of McDonogh School (Md.) decommitted from the Terrapins on Friday night.

He took to Twitter on Saturday morning to explain the reason for the move:

At 6-4, 290 pounds, Cohen was looked to be a priority in the 2014 class as Maryland tries to beef up its offensive line before moving to the Big Ten.

The Terrapins announced this week the official signing of offensive lineman Larry Mayzck, a 6-7, 330-pound prospect from Iowa Western and is also expecting longtime four-star commit Derwin Gray to enroll early at the school.
