Jon Graham, the son of former Maryland great Ernest Graham, will transfer from Penn State to College Park, a source confirmed to Comcast SportsNet.

Graham played two seasons in Happy Valley and averaged 1.9 points and 2.7 rebounds per game last season for the Nittany Lions.

Standing 6-8, 225-pounds, Graham is a native of Baltimore who attended Calvert Hall College High School (Md.). By moving closer to home, there is the possibility that he could apply for a waiver from the NCAA to gain immediate eligibility.

He averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game in high school and chose Penn State over schools that include Seton Hall, Davidson, Wright State, and others.

His father, Ernest, played for Maryland from 1978-81, ranks in the Top 15 all-time in scoring and assists in Terps history.
