Excitement at Maryland over visit by President Obama

Having heard that the President and First Family might be attending a scheduled gathering in the team's locker room at Comcast Center on Sunday, the Maryland women's basketball tried something.

They left a note on a white board in their locker room in hopes the presidential visitors would see it. It was worth a shot and it actually worked.

And not only did Obama see it, but he responded. The photo below was tweeted by @UMD_FOE, the facilities operations department at the university.

The message from the team says, "Hi President Obama! -Maryland womens basketball" to which Obama responded, "Thanks, Terps, and good luck!" with his signature.
