Maryland might be starting to get the first taste of what future recruiting battles with new Penn State head coach James Franklin will feel like.
According to a report from Mike Farrell of Rivals.com, Penn State is among the schools to which five-star offensive lineman Damian Prince is now "listening", one week after Franklin was hired as the head coach in Happy Valley.
As Farrell notes, LSU and Auburn join a group that includes Maryland, South Carolina, and Florida that is hard in pursuit of the 6-5, 292-pound senior.
Maryland made a change in the offseason, announcing the signing of veteran offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, who won a Super Bowl with the Giants in 2008.
Another wild card in the process is five-star Friendship Collegiate (D.C.) cornerback Jalen Tabor, who flipped from Arizona to Florida and is reportedly pushing to get his friend, Prince, to come along to Gainesville.
