Just over two months after taking part in Maryland 2014 pro day, former Terrapins linebacker Demetrius Hartsfield will work out with the NFL's New England Patriots, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com is reporting. Hartsfield will be joined by his former teammate in the linebacking corps, Darin Drakeford, according to the report.

Hartsfield did not participate in Maryland's 2013 pro day, and was thus invited back for the 2014 edition of the event. He posted the second best standing vertical on the team at 33 inches and completed 17 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press. At 6-2, 240 pounds, he has good size for the position at the NFL level.
He finished his senior season at Maryland in 2012 ranked seventh in the ACC with 8.7 total tackles per game and was voted to the All-ACC second team.
Drakeford played in 32 games at Maryland and registered 122 total tackles. He has made stops on the practice squad for a handful of NFL teams in the past, including the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, and New York Giants.
