The formation of the Gavitt Tipoff Games, a collaboration by the Big East and Big Ten to boost their respective non-conference scheduling efforts, leaves only one important question for two fan bases in the Washington, D.C., area.

Will Maryland play Georgetown?

Andy Katz of ESPN.com, citing conversations with Georgetown head coach John Thompson III, is reporting that it is a possibility -- Katz termed it specifically "a chance" -- the Hoyas could meet the Terrapins in 2015-16 as part of the newly formed Tipoff Games. The two schools have not met since 2008.

Another note that Katz also mentions? Georgetown could face Virginia in the 2015 BB&T Classic in D.C. Two non-conference games against two local rivals? Not bad.
