Maryland transfer target Andrew White has committed to Nebraska, according to Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.
White had been considering a host of schools that included Maryland after announcing his intention to transfer away from Kansas in May. White played two seasons in Lawrence, Kan., and averaged under seven minutes per game each year.
The 6-6 swingman was a top 60, four-star recruit out of high school before choosing Kansas.
Though his presence would have added depth to the wing -- and likely doing so in 2015-16 after sitting out a season -- Maryland's immediate need next year will be in the front court. With the arrest and dismissal of Trayvon Reed in August, the Terrapins are thin on the front line.
That will likely put more of the load on the shoulders of freshman Michal Cekovsky, as well as sophomore Damonte Dodd.
