Midnight Madness returns to Cole Field House
Injured Maryland point guard Seth Allen was out on the floor Saturday at Comcast Center wearing street clothes and a walking boot, shooting around with his teammates as they prepared for a 2 p.m. game against Florida Atlantic.
Allen, who has been out since early November after undergoing surgery to repair a broken foot, underwent an X-ray on Thursday to assess his progress. Coach Mark Turgeon said on Friday that the timeline for his return remains the same as what it was when the procedure took place.
That 8-10 week recovery period would put Allen back in the lineup after the turn of the new year when the bulk of the ACC schedule begins. Allen is currently in the sixth week of his recovery.
“Every report I hear, he’s doing great, staying in shape, staying away from McDonald’s,” Turgeon said last week. “He looks good.”
