One of Maryland's newest basketball players, Michal Cekovsky, a seven-footer from Slovakia, will be looking to take off next season as a freshman and make immediate contributions.
And upon first glance of this photo, posted to Cekovsky's Instagrin page (a web version of Instagram), it appears Cekovsky is ready to take off for outer space, too. Have no fear Terrapin fans, the highly skilled center is not heading to outer space. Rather, he is actually sitting inside a BODPOD, a machine that that gathers data on body fat percentage and other body composition measurements.
So while his caption may read "going to the moon!", Cekovksy is simply going to receive some very accurate data regarding his bodily health. While this is not merely as exciting as space travel, it is still pretty important. Mark Turgeon and Terrapin basketball fans will want to ensure that the four-star international prospect is in top shape as Maryland plays its inaugural season in the Big Ten.
