Carter is joined throughout the interactive show by a daily array of high-profile guests and expert contributors that includes athletes, coaches, entertainers and journalists.

A veteran sports reporter, Carter spent the first 10 years of his career in print journalism before joining Comcast SportsNet to host Washington Post Live in April 2009. Most recently, he spent four years as a reporter for the Washington Post, where he covered the Washington Wizards. In that role, he made frequent appearances on the network as a contributor.

Prior to joining the Washington Post, Carter was a sports reporter for the Kansas City Star for six years. In this position, he covered a variety of major sporting events and served as the beat reporter for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs.

A native of Minneapolis, Carter earned a communications degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., where he was a member of the school's football team. After graduation, he began his career as an intern with the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Carter resides the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and is involved in a variety of community organizations and events aimed at serving disadvantaged youth and promoting sports-related activities.
