Jenkins regularly anchors the late night and early morning edition of SportsNet Central, where he provides an entertaining and comprehensive account of the day's top sports stories. As a reporter, Jenkins uses his unique perspective and signature wit to provide compelling coverage of the fascinating stories, interesting events and remarkable people that shape the area's sports scene.
Jenkins has been recognized with a variety of awards and honors for his work at CSN. A two-time Emmy Award-winner, he has claimed the region's top prize for both sports reporter and anchor. His work as a sports anchor and reporter has also earned him four Edward R. Murrow Awards, given annually by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
A veteran sports journalist with 14 years of television experience, Jenkins joined Comcast SportsNet in 2004 from KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, where he served as a sports anchor and reporter for six years. Prior to that, he held similar positions with KTVB-TV in Boise, Idaho, and KTEN-TV in Denison, Texas.
Jenkins is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism.
Jenkins resides in the Cleveland Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., with his longtime girlfriend, Lisa. A cancer survivor, he works closely with several community organizations, including The Children's Inn at NIH and Relay for Life.
