CSN Baltimore dot com. Now with Alan van Allen I think -- Lee Johnson sit at best in his morning blog the sun came out today it's not all doom and gloom but. How do you get back on my horse and get ready for game six that this guy I was vols actually -- game -- that's a great thing about -- -- his demeanor. The amount of confidence that he has he's been here he's done all of these things. And you just got to rebound it's one loss that wasn't the worst loss in capitals history contrary to what a lot of people say. It was just the loss the worst losses when you get kicked out of the playoffs and the capitals are still in -- they have not lost two games in a row. They find a way to balance factory the coaching staff has done a good job of adjusting and adapting. From game to game throughout the playoffs what ultimately did the Rangers do so successfully -- to get the last two goals of the game -- in all three Eagles actually in the big thing the capitals blocked shots and they wouldn't let the pocket to the front of the net. In game four that point five blocked shots to the Rangers seven I believe. And the Rangers talked about it from that time forward. They should we just got to tick quicker shots you gotta get the puck past that first guy so as the capitals were sprawling on the ice. The Rangers were to step for her getting the parts that their first -- strong resources exactly that. The next two power play goals unfortunately for the capitals the Rangers just got the puck to the front that they weren't necessarily shooting a score in the tying -- -- just to get the puck to the paint. And help battle the capitals so the capital are gonna have to remedy that next game. You never really seen the same storyline every game it's always about adjustments what is the simple adjustment. The caps have to -- in game six is the biggest thing without the puck when they're in their own zone they've got to make sure that they're not selling out so soon so they're not so obvious to the Rangers defenseman so they get they have to eliminate that -- getting to the front of the net. And one of the best ways to do that is the plan the other teams don't. He had seven Washington Capitals forward without a shot on -- last night and most importantly Alexander Ovechkin zero. The good thing about that the good news for capitals fans and capitals coaching staff -- teammates. Is he he rebounds very very well he's going to be angry he's going to be intense. He's gonna make some defenseman paid the price but mostly he's gonna hit that puck as hard or harder than he's ever hit it before he's going to be aiming for 678910. Shots. Ten hits tomorrow night and he's gonna play that game to win and put a dagger in the New York Rangers. Armchair hockey analyst wants to know how in the world. This will be not if -- zero shot on net. It just the way the Rangers play that you -- Kirk Muller who was an assistant coach of the Montreal Canadians a few years ago in the playoffs. And now -- with the Carolina Hurricanes devised a system to get the defenseman Brad and try to play will be physical just to stay between him in the -- Opinion have the back checking Winger the back checking center and take as ice waste we can't get the puck. And -- so last night he didn't carry the puck in the zone. And when he was going to on the ice they -- to -- skull -- So they did a good job of that they have the last line change for that the best checkers -- thirtieth -- -- the best defense pair and they eliminated let it eliminated him offensively all game long. -- -- -- what have the last change the game for game six and he's gonna put him up there against the you know that the weaker defense and on the New York Rangers he's gonna play him a lot more. And if you play in the offensive zone in a put more power play opportunities you end up with way more scoring chances more shots on net. And you can bet that's going to be part of the game plan tomorrow translation and all this -- mates is to caps fans. Relax. The 61 minutes of hockey to be played. Soriano could be a hundred point we never aura here -- you're never going to be -- into the wee hours of the morning it's been incredible development with the very latest is the caps get ready for game six. 3. Brian Roberts happy to feel like a part of the team

    Fri, 29 Mar 2013

CSN Baltimore dot com's. the players have been. It's challenging for sure but to come out here now on and be like one of the guys and to be part of the team doing everything. Really with. You know an outlook that haven't happened there would have been a while it's it's exciting and it's gonna come off the last here makes it even more exciting. What do you need to have been what are you need to see where you just know that you're ready for the season. idea and I think I'm ready at this point and I don't think that really any inhibitions about anything at this point I'm just. Excited to get out there and playing good and some game action and you just really get back to being a baseball player you know for so long now it feels like I've been just a rehab and tired of that I wanna be a baseball player and I want to contribute and contribute to this team and contribute to your organization and and try to get us over the hump we're really wanna be and you will hear people say will he be the Brian Roberts holds an all star second baseman. Do you think about getting back to that point or is that not part of the process for. I don't like to look in the past to live in the you know what happened. 678 years ten years ago what happened two years ago it's all over you know you'll. I don't you more wanna learn from the past and now live in itself to be a better Brian Roberts and I was. Previously you know whether that means. And that comes in various ways now that doesn't mean that your stats have to be better doesn't mean that. You have to do more of this or less than this it just means that. Through the process you've grown and you've become a better player you've become a better person you become a better teammate I didn't become better home. Part of the community all those things I think. Are part of being a better Brian Robertson. So that's really what I'm looking forward so looking into the future what do you see for 2013. I see a team that's gonna go out and compete for a World Series I see a team that's going to capture our fans like we union last year policy team that. Other teams don't want us to come in their ballpark. CSN Baltimore dot com's.

Each week we'll look at the Orioles and nationals farm systems to give you peek at who's next this week we spotlight the three best prospects for each club let's start with the pitcher Dylan One of the best prospects in all of baseball and he should be involved. my mid season but for now he'll begin at double do. Not far behind in the points 121 round pick Kevin golf. Another right hander who had a perfect for. And third it's 21 year old Jonathan's got the team's best infield prospect should find his way to the majors sometime this summer but for the Former top draft pick their top prospect camp here and down impressed in spring training we'll probably make a Major League club plus infield that he has prepared for. Center fielder Brian Goodwin could be an of his. But for now be getting double play and there is with the the eighteen year old with the team's best pitching prospect but he still recovering from the Tommy John surgery. But in my failings.
